lpv:translated text	"The report sets out a series of laudable amendments to the Code of Conduct for Members of the European Parliament. The importance of our roles here means that we are duty-bound, both politically and in terms of ethics and transparency, to make the rules governing the relationship between our positions and our outside interests as stringent and rigorous as possible. I support the insertion of these amendments as per the report by Mr Casini, especially the introduction of greater clarity on conflicts of interest and the funding and support received for carrying out our political activities. The new provisions on penalties for breaching the code and the creation of an Advisory Committee on the behaviour of MEPs are also to be welcomed. My vote on the report by Mr Casini is therefore in favour."@en1
