lpv:translated text	"During the previous parliamentary term, I had the pleasure of working in the Delegation to the EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee. The accession of Croatia to the European Union means a strengthening of political stability in the Western Balkans. Let us hope that it is the beginning of the next enlargement of the EU, to include the countries that were formed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia. I believe that Croatia has fulfilled the necessary economic and political criteria. This was undoubtedly very difficult, considering the situation in which the region finds itself, as new relations are currently forming during a period of crisis. The country would do well to keep up the rate of change, introduce the rule of law, fight corruption and prepare for the challenges of the common market. Welcome and good luck!"@en1
