I would like to take the opportunity provided by the explanation of vote to thank the two rapporteurs, Ms Balzani and Mr Fernandes, Commissioner Lewandowski, the Council in the person of Mr Dominik, and all the assistants and my fellow Members for their excellent work during this procedure. I think that the broad majority achieved today fully reflects the constructive spirit with which the three institutions have worked over the last three months to achieve approval of the European budget for 2012, a budget which, in my view, takes full account of the difficult time of crisis, and, at the same time, tries to stimulate investments and the economy in order to achieve smart, inclusive and sustainable development of the European Union."@en1
