lpv:translated text	"Today, we adopted the resolution on banning cluster munitions, thus taking a further step forward in the protection of civilians and soldiers during and after periods of conflict. Following the entry into force of the Convention on Cluster Munitions in August 2010, Parliament has made further progress in addressing the humanitarian problems that this type of weapon poses to civilians at the time of, and after, its detonation. In applying the provisions of the abovementioned convention and of this resolution, States should improve victim assistance by establishing new common humanitarian standards, and should cooperate with third countries by promoting a clause banning such munitions in agreements and by helping those countries to comply with the objectives of the 1998 Ottawa Convention on anti-personnel mines."@en1
