".
The European Union intends to become the number one tourist destination in the world, based in particular on the quality of its services, but also on the sites of interest – historic or otherwise – hosted by Member States. To achieve this, the EU must become, first and foremost, the biggest and most interesting tourist destination for its own citizens, especially for the younger generation. This is why the European Heritage Label initiative is valuable, and I welcome the proposal’s adoption during today’s session."@en1
