"At an international level, the European Parliament has relations with various geographical areas. Some of these relations are at a more advanced stage, which is true of the African, Caribbean and Pacific group of states (ACP). In 2010, the ACP–European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly met on two occasions. During these meetings, the cooperation agreement between the two entities and respect for the commitment of Member States to allocate 0.7% of their GNI to development aid were discussed. As I am convinced that dialogue, based on democratic principles, is the starting point for any good relationship, I voted in favour of the Kaczmarek report."@en1
