"I voted for this report, which concerns report . In fact, the Committee on Legal Affairs is being called on to intervene because the legal basis of the act is at issue. The Committee on Legal Affairs is unanimously proposing that Parliament give its assent to accession to the Protocol. All aspects of the Protocol not provided for in Regulation (EC) No 392/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009 are Member State competences. That is the case, for example, regarding the provisions relating to the possibility of setting liability limits higher than those provided for in the Protocol. As such, the agreement is a mixed one and has to be ratified by the Member States."@en1
