lpv:translated text	"We chose to abstain in the final vote on the European platform against poverty and social exclusion. We would like to stress that the report contains many important aspects of this growing problem, while, at the same time, we believe that several of these problems can, and should, be resolved at national level. The aim of the report, to raise awareness of and problematise the increasing incidence of poverty and social exclusion, is something that we support and consider to be very important. For that reason, we are choosing to abstain rather than vote against the report as a whole. At the same time, we consider the fact that the report indicates the extension of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund to be problematic. We do not consider the fund to be compatible with our liberal values, nor do we believe that it should continue to operate after 2013. We hope that the Member States of the European Union will take note of this problem and the plan for combating poverty that already exists, and that they will take measures immediately at national level to counter this continuing negative trend."@en1
