lpv:translated text	"Although the European Union is one of the richest regions in the world, a large percentage of the population is affected by poverty and social exclusion. This situation is incompatible with the European values of justice and solidarity, so in this vein, the Union has, for years, been committed to polices and interventions to reduce it. However, it is worth considering that despite the Union’s action, poverty and social exclusion have increased in recent years, exacerbated by the crisis of 2008 which worsened the problem further. In light of the facts, I am voting in favour in order to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth. I think it is important that the platform is intended, in particular, to promote innovation and social experimentation, reduction of poverty – in its various forms – at all stages of life, better use of EU funds and more effective social protection."@en1
