"Ms Herranz García, I am going to reply to both of your questions. The removal of the sugar quota is subject to legislative proposals that are already awaiting discussion by the Council and Parliament. The Council and Parliament will then be able, in codecision, to comment on the Commission’s position. A decision on the issue of planting rights for vineyards was already taken during the reform of the wine sector by the Council. This matter is also subject to a regulation by the Council, which has already decided to remove planting rights. Next year, however, the Commission is due to present a progress report on the implementation of the wine sector reform. It will be presented to Parliament and the Council. This will provide a further occasion for Parliament and the Council to provide comment if they wish to make any adjustments. In any case, I am happy for this matter to be discussed."@en1
