"− I think it is important to protect the privacy of individuals and I am against detailed information on air passengers routinely being stored without there being any suspicion of a crime having been committed. This recommendation by the European Parliament is a major improvement on the original text and I therefore appreciate the rapporteur’s efforts. However, I am somewhat sceptical about approving this agreement, as it could be construed as a green light for the PNR system as a whole. I have therefore chosen to abstain."@en1
