We must ensure dignified working conditions for all, improve current legislation and provide workers and businesses with the right incentives to adapt to the new requirements of the market. Yet in order to adopt effective policies, the ability to forecast and anticipate future needs must be improved. Today more than ever, high-quality education and training are essential requirements for providing the new skills that the market demands. If we want to get back on our feet after this serious economic crisis, become more competitive and achieve higher levels of growth and employment, we must make better use of all our potential and focus on young people.
