"Mr President, if I have understood correctly, the speaker referred at some point to the question of the ‘haircut’ of the Greek debt. That is indeed one of the issues. Various rumours of 50% to 60% are circulating. Ms Harms, I do not understand what your view is on this. I recognise your good intentions and may I therefore say that the Greek debt is EUR 360 billion and the 50% ‘haircut’ does not mean that it will fall by EUR 180 billion; it will fall by EUR 25 billion, which means that the greatest loss will be suffered by the Greek banks and insurance companies that sell at the lowest price. If this information which I have given you is true and not just smoke and mirrors, please tell me if your view still applies to this ‘haircut’?"@en1
