This report, drafted by Mr López-Istúriz White, concerns a proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to tyres for motor vehicles and their trailers, and to their fitting. Given that this proposal exclusively concerns the straightforward codification of the texts in question, without any change in their substance – which is of legal value and has been adopted by various European institutions – in line with the recommendations of the Consultative Working Party of the Legal Services of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission, I fully support this report."@en1
