The current procurement rules have a far too narrow commercial perspective, that is to say, often the lowest price possible. However, a low price also has its price to pay, for example, when it comes to how it affects social and ecological sustainability. Thus, it also affects men and women in very different ways. We therefore need life-cycle analyses and a sustainability and equality dimension to public procurement.
