lpv:translated text	"Madam President, we often assert in this Chamber that fairness should prevail in this or that country or corner of the globe. However, ladies and gentlemen, we must ensure that there should be fairness in our own European Union as well. To be specific, the European Commission’s offer as regards agricultural and cohesion policy in the next multiannual financial framework outright discriminates against Latvia and the Baltic States. For example, whereas growth of 8% is planned for cohesion policy in Europe as a whole, Latvia faces a reduction in cohesion policy of 20% – a whole fifth! In agricultural policy, similarly, only one half. Ladies and gentlemen, we are all in a single market. We cannot allow such a distortion of the market. We must introduce fairness in cohesion and agricultural policy for Latvia and for the other Baltic States. Thank you for your attention."@en1
