"The Council summit, which has been postponed until 23 October, is a very important meeting, both with regard to its agenda and to the current situation in Europe. Despite the financial situation that we all find ourselves in and, in fact, because of it, we must continue to focus on the people of Europe. This means that financial stability, sustainable economic growth and, most importantly, the creation of jobs, must be our main objectives. We must create green jobs throughout Europe and give a new impetus to the labour market. This will enable us to resolve some of our climate problems sustainably and in the long term. The next climate summit will soon be upon us. It offers a new opportunity to bring the USA and China on board in terms of international law. Too much is at stake when it comes to the climate agreements."@en1
