"I voted against this motion for a resolution, because I believe it is right to protect the rights of all, but obviously there must be limits.
I absolutely cannot accept that among the alleged rights is the right to a family, as is explicitly stated in paragraph 11. The family is one thing, and one thing only, namely that formed between a man and a woman.
I therefore feel that this resolution pushes far beyond the acceptable: certainly, it is not the first time that the European Union has gone in this direction, but we in the
will always vehemently reject this wholly insupportable idea. The family should remain as it has been traditionally: a father, a mother and children."@en1
