lpv:translated text	"The enhanced economic governance framework must be based on a European Union strategy for economic growth and employment, on an effective framework for preventing and correcting excessive budgetary positions, on a robust framework for preventing and correcting macroeconomic imbalances and on enhanced financial market regulation and supervision. The coordination of Member States’ economic policies must take place in the context of the broad economic policy guidelines and the employment guidelines, and must entail compliance with guiding principles such as stable prices, sound and sustainable public finances and monetary conditions. The aim of strong economic coordination must be to establish a stable economic and social union based on the principles of the Community procedure. The internal market must contribute to the EU’s sustainable development, based on balanced economic growth and price stability, a highly competitive social market economy, aiming at full employment and social cohesion, and a high level of protection for and improvement in the quality of the environment.
