"I voted for this report as I believe the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund will be important for the 974 workers made redundant in the municipalities of Santa Maria da Feira and Ovar. In addition to providing individualised, isolated and temporary aid, the sum to be transferred should contribute to programmes that promote the reinsertion of these workers into the labour market; more specifically, to recognition of skills, professional training, and training or support with a view to setting up micro, small and medium-sized enterprises."@en1
