However, we have also had an upbeat speech from the executive about not only exiting the crisis, but also about the European Union’s future. Unfortunately, the measures implemented by some European Union governments have proven to be ineffective. This is why now more than ever we need complete mobilisation to revive the European Union’s economy. In this respect, I think that the European Union needs to take action as an entity and acquire the skills for coordinating fiscal policies at EU level and, if applicable, implement common economic governance, but with a well-funded budget. We must be able to respond promptly to needs at EU level and implement as quickly as possible appropriate provisions for managing crisis situations."@en1
