lpv:spoken text	"I welcome this report on a new trade policy under the Europe 2020 strategy and would like to emphasise the importance of advancing the Doha Development Round at the World Trade Organisation. We also need to take into account the added difficulties faced by SMEs when tackling foreign regulations and non-tariff barriers, notably the legal and administrative burdens associated with Trade Defence Instrument procedures. I call on the Commission to hasten the simplification and adaptation of TDI procedures to the needs and accounting systems of SMEs and the establishment of adequate support measures for SMEs affected by proceedings initiated by third countries. We must not forget the potential of combined transatlantic strategies to shape labour, health, safety and environmental standards and international regulatory regimes in areas such as consumer rights and intellectual property rights."@en1
