"I believe that there is no field of legal business activity in Europe that would not or could not be beneficial for the European population. Therefore, I will always support any businessman and any company regardless of its size, number of employees or annual turnover. I firmly believe, however, that my support as an MEP should be focused on the establishment of a simple regulatory framework, on searching for a minimum number of rules protecting not only the freedom of business activities, but also consumer rights and the environment. That part of the draft report refers to such rules and has my support. On the other hand, I do not understand why it is necessary to spend public funds on market distortion. Each euro spent by us for such purposes motivates the entrepreneur to devote less attention to the voice of customers and more attention to European funds. Subsidies do not resolve the problem of Europe’s competitiveness; on the contrary, they create it."@en1
