"The tourist industry is one of the major economic sectors of the contemporary market. It creates numerous jobs and, simultaneously, has a tremendous potential for development. It offers an invaluable ability to promote European diversity, ethnic variety and the attractiveness of individual regions. Quite a few tourist attractions in various countries, albeit uniquely charming, are still not being promoted amongst those who live in Europe, which makes it ever more important to support the promotion of the regions. Providing comprehensive information about such areas serves not only to make them more attractive in the eyes of the tourists, but also to attract potential investors. This is why I voted in favour of the report that covers these important issues."@en1
