In this Chamber we are debating whether unilateral recognition by being given UN membership will bring us closer to peace or not. In this Chamber we are asking which Palestine should be sanctioned by the UN, the cooperative one, represented by Mr Abbas on the West Bank, or the one represented by Hamas in the Gaza Strip? The Gaza Strip from which Israel withdrew unilaterally and which today is the source of rocket attacks.
