".
I voted for this report, although I regret the omission from its text of a reference, which is currently apt, to establishing the ‘one in, one out’ principle.
However, I should mention that a few extremely important ideas provide an upbeat note. These are the possibility of introducing a ‘clarity test’, the Commission’s intention to submit a legislative proposal on the use of alternative dispute settlement mechanisms, an improvement in the EUR-Lex database, an exemption for SMEs from regulations where provisions would disproportionately affect them and, last but not least, the effective mainstreaming of multilingualism in the administration and publication of the results of public consultations."@en1
