"I voted against as this is yet another example of an EU attempt to seize control over what should be the prerogative of nation states to act as a subject of Law of the Treaties. It is up to the UK to decide whether it wishes to sign agreements or not on such important matters as aviation safety with a third territory. Any agreements on that issue should be made via bilateral agreements between the UK and the other state concerned."@en1
