lpv:translated text	"− The ban on anti-personnel landmines (APL) is an urgent political, moral and human commitment. This is why I voted in favour of this report. Furthermore, in view of the fact that denouncing human rights breaches committed by authoritarian regimes in Asia has always been a priority in my political activity, I fully endorse the appeal in the report for the EU to put pressure on China and Russia, which currently hold the largest stockpiles of APL, to urge them to take steps to destroy these stockpiles. I have therefore voted wholeheartedly in favour."@en¹
