"I would like to express my full support for those on the other side of the Mediterranean who are fighting for democracy and human dignity. This joint resolution does the same; I am therefore not opposed to it. However, I cannot endorse a text which does not condemn the predominantly warmongering approach taken by NATO in Libya, which does not denounce the crimes perpetrated by the Gulf Cooperation Council’s army and which indulges in despicable imperialistic policy and gives full gold stars to other countries. I therefore voted against."@en1
