As a result, the hardworking citizens of some Member States will be called on to pay up several times over for the mistakes made by others. In addition, Europe remains in the depths of a serious financial crisis. The calls for an increase in the EU budget in a difficult situation of this kind simply demonstrate how distant the delusions of those in power in Europe are from the real lives of the citizens.
