"Madam President, as a Slovakian citizen, I would like to express my opinion on what is happening here today. I belong to those who were not given mass Hungarian citizenship, because this will be granted to those who lodged their application individually. The reason why I asked to take the floor is the belligerent tone that some colleagues have adopted. I am extremely worried about the fact that the Hungarian constitution is assessed as if it were an attack against peaceful cohabitation in Europe. I feel that because of completely misinterpreted or poorly translated texts – for example, the right to vote, which is not included in the constitution – we are having these speeches made in an extremely bad mood and striking a very belligerent tone, which are not appropriate in the European Parliament."@en1
