"This hypocritical text claims that the main problem with credit rating agencies is that they hamper competition. Its solution to the ‘over-reliance’ of banks on these agencies is that the banks assess the risks themselves. Banks responsible for measuring austerity! If they are unable to do so, they are asked to apply the least favourable rating to offer themselves the greatest protection. The problem is not protecting the interests of banks but protecting the general interest. Once again, the people are last on the EU’s list of priorities."@en1
