lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report because I believe that the Innovation Union can help to address today’s societal challenges. It is also essential in increasing competitiveness as the EU overcomes the economic crisis. I agree with the report that Member States should make use of the structural funds to support research, development and innovation (R&D&I) objectives that target social challenges, with the aim of increasing prosperity in Europe. Enhancing cross-border cooperation is also imperative, as is encouraging citizens to create innovative new businesses. This can be achieved by cutting red tape and establishing a simple and coherent system that focuses on societal challenges."@en1
