"The scope of the register covers all activities carried out with the objective of directly or indirectly influencing the policy formulation or implementation and decision-making processes of the European institutions. All organisations, irrespective of their legal status, engaged in activities falling under the scope of the register are expected to register. In the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, many across the party lines stressed the importance of the Council becoming part of the system. The vote by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs is an important step forward but our work on transparency continues. I support the report of Carlo Casini and voted ‘in favour’."@en1
