lpv:translated text	"In view of the Court of Auditors’ statement that it has obtained reasonable assurances that the annual accounts for the financial year 2009 are reliable, and that the underlying transactions are legal and regular, I voted in favour of granting discharge in respect of the implementation of the budget of the Joint Undertaking for the Implementation of the Joint Technology Initiative on Innovative Medicines for the financial year 2009. As we know, every debate on discharge has its own particular context, and the context of today’s debate is the economic and financial crisis, which has caused financial and budgetary problems for a number of Member States. Therefore, also in view of more effective controls, I join in the request made to the Joint Undertaking to include in its Financial Rules a specific reference to the powers of the Internal Audit Service of the Commission as its internal auditor."@en1
