I would like to point out my support for the oral amendments introduced by the rapporteur Mr Baudis to update the report in the light of recent developments. It is important to call on all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council to recognize the continuing popular movement for democratic reform within the wider region with the appeal to the emerging civil society groups to promote the process of genuine peaceful democratic transition within their respective countries."@en1
