lpv:translated text	"− Today Parliament voted on the report entitled ‘Towards adequate, sustainable and safe European pension systems’. The Commission, taking account of demographic trends and the effects of the economic and financial crisis, has decided that in order to modernise pension policies it is necessary to take coordinated action on: adjustment of pension systems, sustainability, balance between the duration of working life and duration of pensions, removal of obstacles to mobility, greater transparency of pension systems and protection of solvency. In this report we wish to acknowledge and maintain individual responsibilities in order to create a sustainable and safe system that is capable of ensuring an adequate pension at Member State level. A modern system that acknowledges, in particular, the new generation’s need for mobility and offers solutions not only for the present but also for the near future."@en1
