It is necessary to work out and make obligatory for all EU Member States a package of measures covering responsibility for distribution, assistance, production and realisation of counterfeit medicines. Measures should include forfeiture of licence from suppliers and distributors of counterfeit medicine, maximum fines and criminal responsibility for all people related to illegal activity in the area of medicine trading. The responsibility of the guilty should be no less than if they were drug dealers. Only in that way we can stop the distribution of counterfeit products and eradicate the black market in medicines."@en1
