"Madam President, I am once again compelled to ask a fellow Hungarian Member a question. Does subsidiarity with regard to pensions and wages mean that the pensions and wages of pensioners and employees in Hungary and other post-communist countries will consistently, continuously and permanently be a fraction of those in Western Europe? Because it would be very sad if we were to understand it as such. This is the case at the moment. Nurses make 70 000 forints a month, and teachers make 90 000; pensioners have basic subsistence difficulties. How are we to understand this?"@en1
