lpv:translated text	"This report and the ecological disasters that it claims to manage are a reminder to us of how urgent it is to abandon nuclear energy. Yet there is no question of abandoning nuclear energy in this report. That is one of the ways in which this report is lacking. It would have been worthwhile adopting the amendment. In addition, this report aims to grant the Commission every power necessary to introduce the security measures needed for a nuclear disaster. It makes the capacity of the leaders of the Member States to act in this matter merely optional, even though they are the ones elected by the people. It is inconceivable that power should be delegated in this way to the irresponsible Commission, especially when it comes to public health. I am voting against the report."@en1
