lpv:translated text	"Madam President, I would like to thank Mr Cancian, who has worked very hard to reach this agreement, and following complex negotiations, this document has been agreed upon. Progress has been made on passenger rights in terms of compensation and assistance in the event of an accident, cancellation or delay, and in terms of the recognition of basic passenger rights, irrespective of distance; the agreement also includes the rights of disabled people and those with reduced mobility. However, the definition of the scope of application, which is journeys longer than 250 km, means that three countries remain outside this European legislation. In our view, this is not sufficient, although we acknowledge the progress that has been made compared with what there was initially. Our group will therefore abstain."@en1
