What we saw earlier today was indeed a farce, where colleagues who had interviewed the individuals and deemed them to be competent nonetheless wanted to flex their muscles and protest that they had not been consulted enough. That was why we had the vote today. It was posturing at its worst and it does this Parliament no good at all."@en1
