"Madam President, I am sure you will allow me five minutes. Firstly, Mrs Merkel asked whether the law complied with European regulations in all respects and Mr Orbán agreed to change the provisions of the law if necessary, following the assessment by the Commission. I think that this is an approach which is correct, honest, open and fair to everyone involved. My second point concerns the state media law in North Rhine-Westphalia. Radio programmes are not allowed to present only one opinion or to cover only one party, group, lobby, religious denomination or philosophy under the terms of paragraph 31. The law also states that the head of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia can give instructions to the state media authority and can impose fines of up to EUR 500 000."@en1
