"Noting that food security is a fundamental human right, which must be guaranteed, calling for the payment of farmers for their efforts and proposing a system of food stocks administered by the United Nations are all concessions to our theses. I welcome them. Accommodating the difference, among financial products, of commodity derivatives, and limiting access to agricultural financial markets to operators linked to agricultural production, also indicate a change in attitudes. However, relocation and the end of productivism, which are necessary for self-sufficiency in foodstuffs and for preserving biodiversity, are still a long way off. The financialisation of the agricultural markets is not fundamentally called into question. Worse still, authorisations of genetically modified varieties are emerging. To encourage good intentions, I therefore abstain."@en1
