It specifically focuses on the provision of information to the public on prescription-only medicines. The stated aims of the directive are to allow for better access to information for patients and to clarify the rules, which are currently interpreted differently across the EU, leading to health inequalities. It also deals with information on the Internet, which is not covered at present and is a particularly difficult topic, as it is so hard to regulate."@en1
