".
I have today voted in favour of resolutionon long-term care for older people. However, there is one paragraph in the resolution that I do not support. In paragraph 12, the resolution calls for minimum standards for all contracts in the care sector, including minimum wages. This is something to which the Swedish Christian Democrats are opposed. It is also alien to the Swedish model of collective agreements. Our Swedish model has proven to be in the interests of both workers and employers. I firmly believe that wages are a matter that should be decided by means of an agreement between the social partners and not something in which politicians should be trying to outbid each other."@en1
