"Following the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, the European Parliament has a real role to play in the European legislative process. Now that this report has been adopted, the European Parliament will be notified whenever there is a proposal to amend the status of the delegated acts (Article 290 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union). This is an important feature because Parliament must be in a position to contribute to the debate on what are at times necessary technical modifications to the list of goods covered by a temporary suspension of autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties on imports of certain industrial products into the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores."@en1
