We urgently need to eradicate the discrimination to which they are subjected when obtaining work, in the progression of their careers and in the right to fair remuneration. Healthcare and social services must also be directed towards the specific needs of women. All these difficulties are exacerbated with age, demonstrating the importance of this report. In particular, I would argue that use should be made of the knowledge and experience of older women. Finally, the monitoring mechanisms provided for in the report justify my vote in favour. ."@en1
