The new regulation establishes a European programme for documenting the capture of bluefin tuna to support the implementation of conservation and management measures approved by the Internal Committee for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna (ICCAT). The document incorporates the provisions of the ICCAT programme with a view to identifying the origin of all the variants of this species.
