I believe that we should welcome these provisions, which are all about equal responsibilities, but I also believe that women feel that they have other priorities: combating unemployment and job insecurity, and eliminating the unacceptable pay gap. Then there is the major problem of insufficient services. To take just one example, it is very difficult to talk about equality when there are so few child care facilities.
